Sarah Ritchie

Sarah Ritchie is a visual artist based in Naarm/Melbourne, where she splits her practice between a studio in Fitzroy North, and a darkroom in her home garage. Sarah’s practice continually draws on her background in fine art printmaking as well as an ongoing interest in alternative photography techniques. Most recently she has been experimenting with various methods of making photographic prints without a camera, which draws on and combines both printmaking practice and darkroom photography.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Fine Art Printmaking (First Class Honours) and a Graduate Diplom (Arts Administration) from RMIT University. As well as private collections, her works are found in the Artists’ Books Collection at the State Library of Queensland; Library for the Artist’s Book, New South Wales; and Mackay Regional Art Collection, Queensland. Sarah’s upcoming solo exhibition, Per Fumam (Through the Smoke) will be at Five Walls Projects in November 2026.
