General Artists

 

Are you a Melbourne or Victorian-based artist? We would love you to part of ART FOR ALL 2026.

Our gallery features hung works — paintings, photographs, and works on paper — alongside 3D works including sculpture, ceramics, and bespoke jewellery.

  • Applications open: Monday 1 June 2026

    Applications due: Midnight, Sunday 26 July 2026 (unless gallery capacity is reached earlier)

    Artwork drop off: 12pm-6pm, Thursday 27 August 2026

    Artwork pick up: 3.30pm-6pm, Sunday 30 August 2026

  • There are a number of categories into which you can enter artworks,

    • General Artists
      Open to any artist who meets our terms and conditions. You're welcome to submit up to two hung works and three 3D works.

    • Invited Artists
      Artists whose work has proven popular with our audience in previous years may be invited to submit up to two additional pieces. If this applies to you, expect to hear from us by end of June.
      Please use the form linked in your invitation rather than this one.

    • Featured Artists
      Around 6–8 featured artists are selected each year to fill two metres of wall space in our gallery. The application process is handled individually.
      If you've been approached as a featured artist, please use the form provided to you — not this one.

  • Fairfield Primary School takes a 30% commission on all art sold in the gallery. There are no other fees. Please factor this into your pricing before you apply.

  • Prizes are generously supported our sponsors and selected by a mystery judging panel (in previous years, respected artists and professional gallerists).

    The Hangers' Prize is chosen by the Art For All committee members who curate and hang the show.

    First Prize — $1,000
    Hangers' Prize — $750
    Highly Commended (×5) — $100 each

  • All exhibiting artists receive one discounted ticket ($20) to the Saturday night gala. Additional tickets are available online and at the door.
